Lunch today was a Cobb salad with roasted chicken, eggs, tomatoes, croutons, and blue cheese. I also had about 1/4 cup blue cheese dressing on the side. This is a higher calorie salad (probably totalling around 900 calories). I ate about half of this salad, bring my lunch total to around 450 calories.
Brunch today was at a local diner near my house. Although it is not recommended to skip breakfast, I usually find myself in a breakfast-skipping situation about once a week (due to sleeping in). At brunch today I had an egg white Western omelet with onions, bell peppers, diced ham (no cheese), and a side of home fries. When all is said and done (meaning, sautéing the veggies in butter, frying the potatoes in butter or oil, and likely using butter to cook the eggs) this meal likely come out to be 700 calories. I had about 75% of everything on my plate, bringing my calories for this brunch to around 525.
Lunch on Friday was an all-you-can-eat buffet at the clubhouse, I picked up a veggie wrap, a turkey and cheese wrap, 1/2 cup couscous salad, 1/3 cup black bean and corn salad, a 3 ounce slice of pork loin, and a pickle. This plate probably totals 900-1000 calories, but I ate a little less than half of everything pictured, likely coming in at about 500 calories. Only to be finished off with a cup of butter pecan ice cream (400-500 calories). And yes, I ate all of the ice cream.
