Brunch today was at a local diner near my house. Although it is not recommended to skip breakfast, I usually find myself in a breakfast-skipping situation about once a week (due to sleeping in). At brunch today I had an egg white Western omelet with onions, bell peppers, diced ham (no cheese), and a side of home fries. When all is said and done (meaning, sautéing the veggies in butter, frying the potatoes in butter or oil, and likely using butter to cook the eggs) this meal likely come out to be 700 calories. I had about 75% of everything on my plate, bringing my calories for this brunch to around 525.
