Not your average foodie, indeed. I have a master’s degree in Dietetics, and am currently a Registered Dietitian working in a nationally renown clinic, specializing in weight management. I created this blog to entertain and inform foodies everywhere. I am a busy, working woman battling the same food issues most people struggle with every day. Possessing the knowledge about food is the easy part. Putting it into practice… that’s where it gets tricky. I absolutely love food –– how it looks, how it smells, how it tastes, even how it makes me feel.
My hope is to provide recipes, tips & tricks each day, to help foodies everywhere eat like a dietitian.
I will be sharing recipes, sharing hints about to stay healthy while eating out, and surviving tricky eating situations whenever they arise. Most importantly – I’ll be showing you how to eat like a dietitian by posting every single thing I eat each day – good or bad. Because I am a firm believer in “all things in moderation”, and you can be too!
My Body Mass Index (BMI) is 19 (within the normal range), and has been there for the past 5 years. You can calculate your BMI here: http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/bmi-calculator/NU00597
I am also a big believer in the importance of adequate hydration. I drink anywhere from 90-120 ounces of water a day, and recommend to all my patients a minimum of 64 ounces of water each day.
